At SSPCR Conference 2025, EURAC disseminated the PLENTYLife project as an example of effective capacity building for local energy and climate planning. The presentation showcased how institutionalised cross-sector planning, targeted trainingmodules, and stakeholder engagement activities can strengthen municipal capabilities in integrated spatial and energy planning.
Particular attention was given to the multiple benefits approach used in PLENTYLife to assess sustainability and social acceptanceof transition strategies, demonstrating the project’s potential for replication in other European small and medium-sized cities.
