At the 14th Biennale of European Towns and Town Planners, EURAC presented the PLENTYLife project as a concrete methodological framework for integrating urban and energy planning in small and medium-sized cities. The contribution introduceda multi-sector and harmonised planning methodology designed to bridge gaps between spatial planning instruments and local clean energy transition strategies.
The presentation highlighted the role of institutional coordination, capacity building, and stakeholderengagement in enabling municipalities to prepare and monitor long-term carbon neutrality pathways, drawing on the experience of the seven PLENTYLife pilot cities.
