IN-PLAN and PLENTY project dissemination and clustering activities

Within the dissemination and clustering activities, BEIA initiated a presentation meeting and future collaboration with ALEA Alba Iulia.

The Alba Local Energy Agency (ALEA) is a non-profit organization, established in 2008, which promotes sustainable development in Alba county through energy efficiency projects, use of renewable energy and public education regarding responsible energy consumption. (Link: https://alea.ro).

The IN-PLAN project, supported by the LIFE Program, aims to help local and regional authorities implement integrated development plans in energy, climate change and spatial planning. The initiative involves 15 “lighthouse” cities and 30 pilot cities, which will test the IN-PLAN procedures in Croatia, Ireland, Italy, Romania and Sweden, aiming to disseminate these practices at the European level. The project facilitates long-term planning capacity and vertical integration between political levels and local administrations. The IN-PLAN and PLENTY project clustering provides a holistic approach to the energy transition by integrating climate, energy planning and sustainability education. IN-PLAN supports local authorities in implementing integrated energy and climate plans, and PLENTY promotes energy responsibility at the community level through education and collaboration. Together, these projects facilitate not only the development of sustainable local and regional strategies, but also increase public awareness, supporting an efficient and long-term energy transition.
