Castelfranco Veneto promotes sustainable mobility at the 45th “Giorgione Walk”

On September 21, 2025, the 45th edition of the “Giorgione Walk – Passeggiata del Giorgione” took place in Castelfranco Veneto, drawing participants from across the territory for a day of exercise, community, and cultural and nature appreciation.

The initiative was organized by the local cultural association, Pro Loco Castelfranco Veneto Aps, with the support of the Pilot City the Municipality of Castelfranco Veneto.

During the event, the representatives of the Municipality and Eurac introduced the European Plenty-Life project to participants, distributing informative leaflets and inviting citizens to share their views on sustainable mobility and energy transition.

Plenty-Life supports local actions to make Castelfranco Veneto:

  • Sustainable – reducing resource consumption to ensure a healthy environment for future generations.
  • Resilient – able to withstand extreme weather events such as floods, storms, hail, and droughts.
  • Low-carbon – cutting greenhouse gas emissions to limit pollution and climate impacts.

Through workshops and thematic meetings, the Municipality of Castelfranco Veneto collects input from schools, associations, and stakeholders to improve daily travel for work, school, shopping, and leisure. Together with the community, the municipality is identifying critical issues and co-creating strategies to enhance accessibility, safety, and sustainability for all.
